North Korea vows to expand diplomacy
(VOVWORLD) - North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on Friday explored ways to renew inter-Korean ties and vowed to expand diplomatic relations as he chaired the 8th congress of his country’s ruling Workers' Party.

The KCNA news agency reported that Kim has raised the issue of reshaping diplomatic affairs "as required by the prevailing situation and the changed times" without elaborating on ties with South Korea and the US.
Inter-Korean relations have stalled since a summit between Kim and US President Donald Trump failed in 2019. Their ties soured last year when North Korea blew up its joint liaison office with South Korea and a South Korean fisheries official was shot dead.
