Reborn from the rubble of the 2019 fire disaster, this great work has returned to its magnificent and majestic beauty, demonstrating the power of solidarity and the aspiration to restore an international cultural heritage.
On Friday, French President Emmanuel Macron, his wife Brigitte and a number of religious officials were present at Notre Dame Cathedral to inspect the restoration work.
The total cost of the project is nearly 700 million euros, funded mainly by donations from 150 countries around the world. About 2,000 people, from wood, metal, and stone craftsmen to masons, craftsmen, engineers, and researchers, have worked together to restore the cathedral. Notre Dame Cathedral is ready to welcome visitors on weekends, from December 7. Before the fire, Notre Dame Cathedral attracted about 12 million visitors a year. The monument is expected to welcome 14-15 million people after the reopening.
