The signing was witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and President and CEO of NVIDIA Jensen Huang.
Prime Minister Chinh said the agreement, signed just one year after he visited NVIDIA’s headquarters in the US in September 2023, is an important milestone that demonstrates Huang’s strong determination to make Vietnam "NVIDIA's second home".
The Prime Minister thanked NVIDIA and Huang for their cooperation in developing Vietnam’s AI capability and said he wants NVIDIA to help Vietnam develop a new production force based on the intelligence of the Vietnamese people. He asked NVIDIA to also support Vietnam in data infrastructure, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, space exploration, and marine technology.
He emphasized the importance of inspiring Vietnam’s entrepreneurial movement and promoting innovation as Vietnam strives to fulfill its vision of national prosperity and happiness for its people. PM Chinh pledged the most favorable conditions for NVIDIA to do business in Vietnam.
Huang said Vietnam has the potential, infrastructure, and human resources to thrive and leverage AI in its economic efforts. In response to PM Chinh’s encouragement, he promised to always be a friend and partner of Vietnam on a path of co-development.
