After the welcoming ceremony, President Cuong and King Abdullah II led the high-ranking delegations of the two countries to hold talks, where they assessed the results of cooperation between the two countries and proposed directions for future cooperation.

This is the first-ever visit to Vietnam by the King of Jordan, and the first head-of-state/government-level exchange between the two sides since their diplomatic ties were established. The visit coincides with the 45th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Jordan (August 9), offering an opportunity to usher in a new chapter of partnership.
