(VOVWORLD) - Outstanding farmers and agricultural scientists of 2025 were honored at a ceremony held in Hanoi on Tuesday, in celebration of the 95th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union (October 14, 1930–2025).

At the event, the Vietnam Farmers’ Union Central Committee presented the “Excellent Vietnamese Farmer” title to 63 individuals and “Scientist of Farmers” to 32 others.
In his address, President Cuong called on the Vietnam Farmers’ Union to keep arousing patriotism, confidence, self-reliance, and aspiration for richness among farmers while asking farmers to become the true centre of agricultural development, rural economy, and new-rural development.

The President said: "The Farmers’ Union at all levels must demonstrate strong determination, adopt effective measures, and work closely with intellectuals and scientists to help farmers improve the quality of agricultural production chains. At the same time, it is essential to promote innovation, digital transformation in agriculture, and environmental protection; actively engage in international integration while preserving the nation’s cultural identity. I hope that the “Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers” and the “Scientists for Farmers” being honored today will continue to share and spread inspiring stories, make further contributions, maintain their spirit of innovation, and unite to support one another in the pursuit of prosperity."
