Nguyen Van Hoa, a resident of Ha Long City, Quang Ninh province, underlined the need to increase people’s oversight and criticism role.

Hoa noted: “At this meeting, the Party Central Committee worked out drastic measures and made resolute decisions. This is particularly important to create high consensus among leaders. The committee should continue to implement the roadmap but allow people to be involved in the inspection and oversight activities.”

Nguyen Tam Quy, former Secretary of the Binh Dinh provincial Party Committee, said he agrees with the Party Central Committee’s statement that the macro-economy is stable and inflation is under control.

According to Quy: “This meeting debated many key national issues, including socio-economic tasks for 2017. I find that development indexes and major targets have been achieved.”

Nguyen Van Ba, deputy chairman of Ea Kar district’s War Veterans Association in Dak Lak province, said: “The plenum looked closely into personnel issues, including punishment of cadres found violating rules. I believe that after this meeting, cadres from the top down will conform with the meeting’s conclusions.”
