Chairing a working session with the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee in Cao Lanh city, the General Secretary pointed out Dong Thap’s potential and advantages for development, including its favorable location, which is adjacent to the provinces of the Mekong Delta key economic region and can easily connect to major markets in Vietnam and Cambodia.

“Uphold the responsibility of the leaders and their role of setting an example. There should be a breakthrough mechanism to attract talents inside and outside the province, develop human resources with knowledge, skills, and innovation, who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, and strive for the common cause,” he said. 

General Secretary Lam also asked Dong Thap to invest in education and training and combine indigenous resources with advanced technology, knowledge and management to lift Dong Thap's economy to higher levels.

On Wednesday morning, Party leader Lam offered incense and flowers to Nguyen Sinh Sac, President Ho Chi Minh's father, wrote notes in a memory book and planted a symbolic tree in the Nguyen Sinh Sac relic site in Cao Lanh city.
