Party chief’s book on fight against corruption and negative phenomena released

(VOVWORLD) - The Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs and the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House held a ceremony on Thursday for the release of the book entitled “Resolutely, persistently fighting corruption and negative phenomena to contribute to building more transparent and stronger Party and State” by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.

Addressing the event, Politburo member and Permanent member of the CPV Central Committee's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong said the book is a theoretically and practically valuable document and a handbook for the fight against corruption and negative phenomena in Vietnam.

The book will help Vietnamese and foreign readers better understand Vietnam’s policies, guidelines and determination to fight corruption

Mr. Thuong said: "We need to have strong determination, great efforts, and scientific and professional methods to fight corruption. Party committees, Party organization, localities, and sectors need to promptly apply lessons and experience accumulated from the leadership of the fight against corruption and negative phenomena mentioned in this book. We need to turn political will into action, be patient, consistent, and constant in this fight, and mobilize the combined strength of the whole political system and society and take coordinated actions against corruption."

With nearly 100 photos, the 600-page book is comprised of three parts presented in a modern press style.
