Vietnamese Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong receives Mr. Huang Kun Ming, Politburo member, Secretary of the Secretariat and Head of the Central Communications Commission of the Communist Party of China

The two sides discussed theories and practicalities of renovation and open-door policies in their respective countries. The Vietnamese Party leader highlighted the important role of communications and press agencies in boosting Vietnam-China relations.

Mr. Huang said the Chinese Party and government respects and wants to work with Vietnam to maintain traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries and to look for ways to further bilateral ties. Mr. Huang Kun Ming stressed the importance of the 14^th Theoretical Workshop between the two parties and said China wanted to share experience in renovation and door-opening with Vietnam.

The same day, the Chinese official held talks with Politburo Member and Head of the Vietnamese Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, Vo Van Thuong, during which the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
