(VOVworld)- Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong has urged the Government Inspectorate to strengthen its role and assist the Party and State in combating corruption and other problems.

At a meeting to review the Government Inspectorate’s performance since the 11^th National Party Congress and set out tasks for the coming years, Party leader Trong, who is also Head of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, asked the agency to increase the prevention and detection of corruption cases and settle complains and denunciations promptly. He said:“It’s important to strengthen the organizational structure, the working style and consensus within the organization. We need to improve the ethics and professionalism of inspectors”.

The Party leader asked the Government Inspectorate to closely coordinate with relevant agencies and increase international cooperation. He said the Party and State will create appropriate mechanisms to facilitate the work of the inspection sector.
