Party leader urges strengthening of public engagement in the fight against corruption
(VOVWORLD) - The Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption convened its 23rd session on Thursday to review its performance last year and set out tasks for the next year.

In his address, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said the fight against corruption has strengthened in a more professional manner over the past 10 years. He asked functional agencies to work closely and work out more solutions to prevent corruption.
The Party leader said: "We have created several mechanisms, regulations, and policies to prevent and control corruption. Over the past years, many cases have been detected and dealt with promptly. Corrupt people are now paying back the money which is a factor for considering mitigating their verdicts. There’s no exception in dealing with corruption."
The Party leader urged high-ranking leaders and managers to set examples in anti-corruption.
