(VOVworld) – The Party Secretariat met with former senior party and state leaders in the southern region on Saturday to inform them of the domestic situation and instructions of the party and state on socio-economic development, external relations and national defense in recent years.

Permanent member of the Party Secretariat Le Hong Anh and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan co-chaired the meeting.

Mr. Hong Anh reiterated the resolve of the party, army and people in defending national independence, sovereignty, the party, the state, the people, and the regime as well as national interests and political stability.
