Party, VFF leaders pay pre-Xmas visit to local dioceses

(VOVWORLD) - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man paid a pre-Christmas visit to Quy Nhon Diocese in Binh Dinh province on Wednesday. 

He expressed his hope that bishop Nguyen Van Khoi will continue to encourage priests and parishioners to participate in community activities and VFF’s movements as well as to support them in economic development.

“I hope that with your reputation, you will continue to encourage parishioners to actively engage in social movements, for example in environmental protection, climate change response, social charity, educational and healthcare programs for poor people,” Man said.

Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai on Wednesday visited the Hue Archbishop. She called on dignitaries and parishioners to promote patriotism, accompany the nation, promote cultural values, morality, and civil responsibilities, and contribute more to achieving the goal of prosperous people, strong country, democracy, equality, and civilization.
