(VOVWORLD) - For the past 95 years, the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has served as the vanguard of the working class, the people, and the entire nation, guiding Vietnam through countless challenges and hardships. Under the Party’s leadership, Vietnam has achieved remarkable victories and milestones, leaving an indelible mark in the nation’s history.
In his article “Shining Vietnam”, published on the occasion of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s 95th anniversary (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2025), General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee To Lam emphasized that reality has proven there is no other political force in Vietnam but the Communist Party of Vietnam capable of leading the country through difficulties and challenges. He reaffirmed that the Party possesses the necessary capacity, courage, intelligence, experience, and prestige to continue steering the revolutionary cause from success to success.

General Secretary To Lam highlighted that the Party’s mission today is to lead Vietnam into a new era of development, prosperity, and strength, with the ultimate goal of building a socialist nation characterized by wealth, power, democracy, fairness, and civilization—on par with global powers. The Party is committed to ensuring a prosperous and happy life for all citizens, creating opportunities for development and economic growth, and contributing to regional and global peace, stability, and progress.
A key priority is achieving Vietnam’s strategic development goals of becoming a modern, industrialized developing country with a high middle income by 2030 and by 2045, transforming into a developed, high-income socialist nation. To fulfill this historic responsibility, the Party must continuously strengthen itself, maintain its revolutionary essence, and enhance its leadership, governance capacity, and ability to mobilize the people. The Party must also embrace self-renewal and self-rectification, uphold internal democracy, build a strong and clean cadre force, and remain steadfast in the ideals of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought.
Additionally, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the need for theoretical advancements and improved ideological work to provide a solid foundation for rapid and sustainable national development. Given the complexities of deep international integration and evolving global challenges, the CPV will continue to adhere to its founding principles while refining its theoretical system and governance approach. This includes strengthening Party-building efforts, streamlining the political system for greater efficiency, cultivating high-quality leadership at all levels, and embracing technological advancements and digital transformation in Party operations.
Concluding his article, General Secretary To Lam reaffirmed that, with more than 5.4 million Party members today, the CPV has the capacity and responsibility to lead Vietnam into a new era of national rise. He expressed confidence that, with the Party’s strength and the unity of the entire nation, Vietnam will overcome all obstacles, achieve rapid and sustainable development, and build a bright and prosperous future for its people.
