The two-storey houses were built not very far from their old village. The Quang Nam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, Orphans, and Poor Patients raised funds to build the houses, each worth 10,000 USD.

Tran Duy Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province, said 160 million tons of rice has been given to families for Lunar New Year holiday (Tet) and to store up for the time before harvest season.

“We ensure that people, who were affected by the landslide and lost their houses, now have new houses to celebrate the Lunar New Year. We provide them with food and money to prepare Tet,” Mr. Dung said.
