PM calls for Republic of Korea’s coordination in fighting Covid-19

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Friday called on the Republic of Korean government to work closely with Vietnam and share experience in epidemic prevention and control.

During his telephone talk with Republic of Korean President Moon Jae-in, PM Phuc said Vietnam’s aggressive measures to contain Covid-19 have paid off with no deaths. He added the Vietnamese government will continue its effort amid complicated developments of the disease worldwide and will work to develop the economy, settle social issues, and protect the health of Vietnamese and foreign citizens in Vietnam. The PM applauded the Republic of Korean government’s measures to control the epidemic.

President Moon said that although the Republic of Korea has overcome difficulties caused by Covid-19, his government will maintain strong measures, including social distancing. Applauding Vietnam’s control of the epidemic, Mr. Moon said his government is ready to share experience and coordinate at a maximum level with Vietnam in disease prevention and citizen protection.

Both leaders agreed to strengthen international cooperation in Covid-19 combat.
