PM calls on PVN to continue effective production, affirms national sovereignty
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has handed over the decision to appoint new Member Council Chair of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) to Tran Sy Thanh, former Secretary of the Lang Son province Party Committee.

Addressing a ceremony on Wednesday in PVN’s head office, Mr. Phuc applauded them for overcoming difficulties and achieving positive results. He highlighted the group’s important role in national construction and defense and called on it to ensure effective production, contribute to protecting and affirming national sovereignty, and guarantee national energy security. The Prime Minister said he believes that PVN’s new leader with his work experience in various positions will successfully carry out tasks assigned by the Party and State.
He urged PVN to focus on major national projects on oil exploration and the expansion of Dung Quat oil refinery.
