PM calls on Samsung to expand production in Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has said the Vietnamese government is impressed with Samsung’s commitment to be the largest foreign investor in Vietnam and wants the group to expand production in the country.
Prime Minister Phuc made the statement at a reception in Hanoi on Friday for Vice CEO of Samsung and General Director of Samsung Electronics Service Co. Ltd. Shim Won-hwan. He assured his guest of Vietnam’s macro-economic stability and improved business environment and wished for Samsung’s more success in Vietnam.
General Director Shim said Samsung considers Vietnam its strategic investment location and is committed to investment expansion and long-term business here.
