(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Saturday left Hamburg for the Netherlands wrapping his trip to Germany for an official visit and for the G20 Summit.

During his stay in Germany, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Presidnent Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and German Speaker and Governor of Rheinland Pfalz Malu Dreyer. In his address at the G20 summit's discussion on sustainable development, climate change, and energy, Prime Minister Phuc highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in coping with climate change.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc's visit to Germany boosted the Vietnam-Germany Strategic Partnership and raised Vietnam's role and prestige in the international arena.

On the sidelines of the G20 summit, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Committee Jean Claude Junker, and WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. At a meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping, the two leaders highlighted the importance of peace and cooperation in international and bilateral relations. They agreed to maintain friendship, cooperation, and stability. At a meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, US President Donald Trump said he would visit Vietnam and attend the APEC Summit in Da Nang in November.
