(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Friday chaired a meeting with relevant agencies on the forced acquisition of land owned by Doan Van Vuon’s family in Vinh Quang commune, Tien Lang district, Hai Phong city. During a land acquisition move on January 5th, 6 members of the security forces were wounded as they faced strong opposition from Mr. Vuong’s family. Representatives from agencies have come to the site to investigate the reasons behind this act.

PM Dung said at the meeting that the case showed local authorities’ weakness in land management. He said any individual or organization that violates land acquisition regulations should be dealt with in accordance with laws. He urged law enforcement agency to promptly try the case for charges of murder and opposition to those who undertake public tasks, ensuring the rule of law.

The PM praised media for their contribution to publicizing and clarifying the case.
