At the forum in Hanoi, international specialists shared their experience, presented their research, and made recommendations to the Government. The main focus of the forum is Vietnam’s vision in a changing world, innovation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the development of the private sector. The event will launch a booklet about Vietnam’s economic policy framework compiled by the World Bank.

Addressing the 500 delegates attending, PM Phuc reiterated the government’s determination to overcome difficulties and create breakthroughs for national development. He said:“The government will speed up administrative reform, improve business environment, create a direct interaction channel between the people and the administration, and build a mechanism where social players can participate directly and effectively in policy making. Priorities will be given to building a legal framework on digitization and national public service portal. Employment and staff assessment policies will be reformed to recruit talents for the administrative system.”

PM Phuc said Vietnam will focus on promoting innovation and the application of the Fourth Industrial Revolution:“This is an opportunity for Vietnam to increase labor productivity, improve competitiveness, and innovation capability. Start-up and innovation spirit has never thrived as it does now and there have never been as many successful start-up businesses as now. The people, including businesspeople, with support and cooperation from development partners have worked and will work with the government to develop Vietnam on a par with developed countries.”
