PM urges French businesses to increase investment in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh CHinh on Thursday met with leaders of major French economic groups as part of his ongoing official visit to France.

At the meetings, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Total Energies Patrick Pouyanne expressed his interest in the Vietnamese market as the energy demand is likely to increase in the near future. He said he hoped to strengthen cooperation on renewable energy with Vietnam.

The Vietnamese Prime Minister said Vietnam has several incentive policies to encourage investors to cooperate with Vietnamese businesses to improve financial capacity, technology, and governance capacity.

At a meeting with President of Eurocham in Vietnam Alain Cany and leaders of many French economic groups, the Prime Minister highlighted investment opportunities in Vietnam’s transportation, logistics, high technology, automation, and digital transformation. The Prime Minister urged the businesses to increase investment in Vietnam and make policy recommendations for the Vietnamese government with the win-win spirit and toward sustainable development, emission reduction, green transformation, and digital transformation.
