As Head of the State Steering Committee for important national transport projects, the Prime Minister underscored the need for a visionary and strategic approach to urban railway development.
He called for modern, inclusive, and efficient systems tailored to Vietnam’s conditions, highlighting the necessity of adopting modern technologies, compatible with local infrastructure, diversifying funding sources, including state budgets, private investments, loans, and public-private partnerships, and prioritizing human resource training to support the growing railway sector.
The Prime Minister asked the two cities to urgently finalize and submit their Master Plans for urban development, including comprehensive urban railway proposals, by December 25.
