Closing the meeting, PM Phuc praised activities launched by the VGCL and its chapters, which he said, have encouraged employees to support the Party and Government’s reform in economic management and corruption prevention. He said all-level trade unions should continue to constructively participate in institutional building, social feedback on policies and giving recommendations on employment and social affairs. Trade unions were also asked to work with other agencies to help settle pressing issues that relate directly to workers. "It’s necessary to push forward the building of trade union institutions, especially those regarding housing for workers. Workers should enjoy the lowest electricity prices. More action plans should be devised to better serve the workers.", said Mr. Phuc.
