(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has successfully concluded his participation at the coronation ceremony of Japanese Emperor Naruhito in Tokyo.

A press release by the government on Wednesday said the visit reflects Vietnam’s respect of the extensive strategic partnership with Japan, who is Vietnam’s leading economic partner, 2nd biggest investor, 4th biggest trade partner, and biggest ODA provider.
Prime Minister Phuc attended a royal banquet hosted by the Japanese Emperor and Empress and expressed his with for more development in bilateral ties for peace, cooperation and development. He met bilaterally with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babis, President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, and President of Albania Ilir Meta in Tokyo on Tuesday after attending the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Naruhito. He also met with Governor of Kanagawa prefecture Kuroiwa Yuji, and other Japanese corporate leaders.
