(VOVworld) - The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee held a national conference in Hanoi on Tuesday on preparations for the election of deputies to the 14^th National Assembly and People’s Councils in the 2016-2021 period. The aim of the conference was to carry out Party and State plans and increase public awareness of the importance of the Party’s election regulations, the State’s election laws, and the position and role of the National Assembly and People’s Councils. The election will offer people from all walks of life an oportunit to select outstanding individuals to represent them in the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels. It will help build, consolidate, and perfect a socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, and for the people.
