During his reception for Indian Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the same day, President Quang called for more efficient implementation of defense cooperative agreements, including exchange of visits, training, research and UN peace keeping activities. He asked for India’s support to improve Vietnam’s national defense industry capacity and landmine clearance as well as dioxin detoxification. The Indian Minister said India wishes to cooperate with Vietnam in personnel training, defense industry, and strategic studies.
