(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang left Hanoi on Thursday morning for a 3-day State visit to Ethiopia at the invitation of Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome.

After the Ethiopia trip, he will pay a 5-day State visit to Egypt at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The visits are to affirm Vietnam’s persistent pursuit of a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, and diversification of international relations.

Vietnam always attaches great importance to enhancing traditional friendship with African countries like Ethiopia and Egypt.

The leaders will discuss ways to further their cooperation in economies, trade, and investment. Cooperation opportunities in agriculture, culture, and tourism will be spotlighted.
