President meets voters in Ho Chi Minh city’s Cu Chi and Hoc Mon districts

(VOVWORLD) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Wednesday met voters of Cu Chi and Hoc Mon districts of Ho Chi Minh city ahead of National Assembly’s 3rd session scheduled for May 23.

At the a hybrid meeting, voters paid attention to the country's major issues such as  land and anti-corruption. President Phuc informed voters of socio-economic performance and foreign affairs, saying the economy of Ho Chi Minh city and the whole country is recovering well.

He also emphasized anti-corruption efforts: “The Party Central Committee discussed and issued a resolution on the establishment of a Steering Committee for Anti-corruption and Misconducts at the provincial and municipal levels. Currently, the Central Steering Committee is doing well, but it must assign localities to involve in this work. The local anti-corruption committee should be led by the Secretary of the Party Committee of a province or city.”
