President urges Ha Giang to develop new growth model
(VOVWORLD) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Wednesday reiterated Ha Giang’s objectives in tourism, trade, service and agricultural development to become a province with a fairly developed economy in the northern midland and mountainous region by 2030 and a province with an above-average economy in Vietnam by 2045.

Addressing the 130th anniversary of the province on Wednesday, President Phuc called for sustainable model for poverty reduction and prosperity.
“We must raise public servant’s capacity for economic development while strengthening social welfare policies, poverty reduction, investment in education and healthcare for people,” he said.
Mr. Phuc emphasized education as the key factor for stable development, environmental protection and afforestation.
On Wednesday, President Phuc paid tribute to the National Martyr Cemetery in Vi Xuyen, the Ho Chi Minh Monument in Ha Giang provincial Party Committee building and presented gifts to local war veterans and poor households.
