President urges serious handling of economic, corruption cases

(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang has asked the Supreme People’s Court to finalize draft laws and ordinances and improve personnel work.

At an online conference in Hanoi on Tuesday, he urged the court sector to deal seriously with major criminal cases, especially those regarding economic activities and corruption. The President stressed the need to strengthen judicial reforms and streamline administrative procedures especially those of judicial nature.

Le Hong Quang, Deputy Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court, said: “It’s necessary to accelerate and improve the quality of the settlement of cases, ensure correct judgments, and protect  human and citizen rights."

"The court will focus on conciliation work in dealing with civil cases, dialogues in administrative cases, settle pending cases, avoid unjust judgments, and miss out criminals,” he added.
