President Phuc, who is also Head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, emphasized that in the past 20 years, the Committee has achieved important results in advising the Politburo to direct the implementation of the Party's resolutions and guidelines on judicial reform, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of judicial activities, protecting human rights, lawful rights and interests of the State, organizations and individuals, maintaining political security and social order, and promoting socio-economic development and international integration.

The President urged the Internal Affairs Commission to complete the draft rigorously and scientifically to soon submit it to the Politburo for comments. Consolidating the organization, functions and tasks of the Steering Committee is important for the Committee to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, he said.
