(VOVWORLD) - A high-level Vietnamese Government delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Friday, to attend the ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting.

Mr. Chinh’s first trip abroad since he took office demonstrates the importance of strengthening cooperation with ASEAN to Vietnam.
The trip aims to enhance ASEAN's central role in solving emerging challenges to create a peaceful and conducive environment for sustainable development of every country in the region.
Prime Minister Chinh and ASEAN leaders will discuss Myanmar's situation, ASEAN community building, COVID-19 pandemic response, and ASEAN external relations.
