The Prime Minister stressed the importance of ensuring consensus from everyone in leading the fight against the virus. He said Ministries, sectors and localities need to work closely and more effectively. The Prime Minister stressed response measures must be safe, flexible, and effective and the reopening must be done cautiously.

He urged the people to strictly abide by regulations on disease prevention, social distancing, and quarantine, and avoid gatherings. The National Steering Committee also discussed ways to reduce infection and deaths and restore socio-economic activities toward effective containment of the pandemic.
