Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb personally welcomed Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse, and the Vietnamese delegation with a ceremonial reception, including Vietnam’s national anthem and an honor guard review.
The visit is an opportunity for both countries to discuss and sign new cooperation agreements, especially in fields where Vietnam and Algeria share complementary strengths such as energy, oil and gas, agriculture, mining, food processing, and manufacturing industries.
Later the same day, Prime Minister Chinh met with staff of Vietnam’s diplomatic mission and the Vietnamese community in Algeria.
At the gathering, the Prime Minister stressed that overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part and an important resource of Vietnam.
He said: “This visit will further elevate Vietnam–Algeria relations. On that basis, we can strengthen business connections, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people links. Enterprises from both countries should be brought together to explore cooperation opportunities.”
The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to gather feedback from the community, maintain an online platform for sharing concerns and contributions, and ensure the Embassy has a dedicated contact channel to provide timely support.
