Prime Minister concludes his attendance of ASEAN Summit
(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his wife, and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation have arrived in Hanoi, concluding their attendance of the 30th ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Manila, the Philippines, at the invitation of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Phuc had a bilateral meeting with the Philippine President. Both sides agreed to boost exchanges of visits and to promptly convene the meeting of the Committee for Bilateral Cooperation. President Duterte reiterated his respect for the friendship with Vietnam and welcomed President Tran Dai Quang’s visit to the Philippines this year. He also thanked Vietnam for its stable and long-term supply of rice for the Philippines. Duterte pledged to accelerate the finalization of the Code of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea with practical and feasible content and in accordance with international law.
Prime Minister Phuc invited President Duterte to attend the APEC Summit in Vietnam and called for support for Vietnam’s initiates during the APEC Year 2017.
