Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke at the ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of the Ministry of Science and Technology (Photo: VGP/ Quang Hieu).

Addressing the event, the Prime Minister called for efficient mobilization and deployment of all resources, especially the Vietnamese people’s talent to ensure the success of the social economic development strategy from 2021 to 2030 with a prosperous vision until 2045:“We should initiate strategic transformation to promote research and development, innovative start-up for social economic development based on science and technology. The State and society’s joint effort in science and technology development must be ensured.”

The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Science and Technology to initiate breakthrough policy to boost innovation in public services and corporate sector through favorable policies and incentives for universities and research institutes, thus enhancing human capital in renovation. The Ministry was conferred with the Labor Order, first class on this occasion. The Prime Minister then cut the ribbon to open an exhibition on 60 years of science and technology development.
