(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received former President of the Malaysian Senate, Tan Sri Dato Michael Chen Wing Sum, in Hanoi, on Tuesday.

Mr. Phuc briefed the guest of Vietnam’s ongoing industrialization and modernization process, which focuses on economic restructuring and growth model reform. He said Vietnam prioritises economic relations with ASEAN countries, including Malaysia, amidst the newly-formed ASEAN Community. The government leader pledged favourable conditions for Malaysian investors and expressed his hope for cooperation and assistance from the Malaysian banking sector as Vietnam is speeding up its bank restructuring. Mr. Phuc stressed that Vietnam intends to attract foreign investment with high value added for national sustainable development.
