Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov was second with 17 percent of the votes. The independent, billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, won 8 percent. About 6 percent of the votes went to Liberal Democratic leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky and 4 percent to A Just Russia leader Sergei Mironov.
