Putin says Russia engaged in patriotic struggle for its future amid world’s turning point

(VOVWORLD) - President Vladimir Putin told Russians on Tuesday that the world was at a key turning point and they were engaged in a patriotic struggle for the future of their country, as Russia marked the anniversary of victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.

In a speech on Red Square as part of Russia's Victory Day celebrations, Putin said there is nothing in the world stronger than Russians’ love for their motherland, and Russia wanted to see a peaceful future.

This year’s celebration included a parade involving 10,000 troops.
