Quang Ngai aims to welcome 1.2 million visitors in 2020

(VOVWORLD) -The central province of Quang Ngai welcomed more than 1.1 million visitors this year, 14% more than the previous year.

The figure is expected to reach 1.2 million next year. Huynh Thi Phuong Hoa, Director of Quang Ngai’s Culture, Sports, and Tourism Department, said: “Quang Ngai has geological resources, in particular some magnificent sea volcanos. We are applying for recognition of Ly Son island district and the adjacent area as a global geopark.”

Quang Ngai is famous for Chau Sa Citadel built in the 9th century, Thien An Mountain, Tra Khuc River, and the pristine Sa Huynh and My Khe beach. Quang Ngai is also home of the Dung Quat oil refinery, the first refinery in Vietnam.
