Vietnamese tourists must show their ID, while international visitors need to provide passport. Children and those without documents are asked to use their guardian’s details. The information will be provided to staff at Ha Long and Tuan Chau international passenger ports.
The Ha Long-Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board said the data will be used appropriately, ensuring safety and privacy. The board aims to complete the database and apply technology to ticketing by January 1, 2026.
Quang Ninh, Vietcombank, and other partners launched VietQR Global for cross-border tourists. As of December 2025, Chinese visitors can pay by scanning QR codes at many spots in the province.
The province is also creating a digital tourism system with an online map, allowing visitors to find information, get directions, rate services, and receive itinerary suggestions via app or QR codes.
