Ha Long city in Quang Ninh province.

Under the province’s plan, rules are set for visitors travelling in or to the province to ensure the safety of tourists, workers, and residents.

Pham Ngoc Thuy, Director of the provincial Tourism Department, said during an online meeting on Monday, "We have asked businesses to prepare facilities, accommodation, means of transport, and personnel. The initial pilot program will involve independent, self-contained tourist destinations."

Visitors will be tested to ensure their health arriving and leaving the province, he added.

Quang Ninh province will receive tourists at the Tuan Chau International Resort and Recreation Complex, Ha Long Bay, and the Yen Tu Complex.

The program will be regularly reviewed and assessed. Self-contained tourism models such as overnight stay on the bay and at the Legacy Yen Tu luxury resort will be given top priority.
