(VOVworld) – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee Huynh Dam has expressed his hope that Buddhist monks from the central province of Quang Tri will contribute more to national development and unity.

At a reception for the Quang Tri provincial Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi on Tuesday, Dam said the organization should encourage local Buddhist followers and people to promote national unity and participate in charity activities to help disadvantaged people. Dam also called on local Buddhist monks and followers to work more closely with the Fatherland Front to build a stronger Party and administration of the people, by the people, and for the people.
