Rain brings relief in Australia

(VOVWORLD) -Some scattered small rains have fallen in New South Wales and several states of Australia in the last two days.

While not enough to extinguish large fires, it helps prevent the spread of wildfires and quenching the thirst in some parts of the state, which has not been raining for the past few years.

The Australian government pledged 1.4 billion USD to rebuild communities and livelihoods devastated in the fires. The Federal government promised not to focus on budget surplus and to do whatever it takes and whatever it costs to support Australians affected by a horror bush-fire season.
