Regular health checks, medicine given to COVID-19 patients at home

(VOVWORLD) - A delegation of the Government's Special Working Group on COVID-19 response led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on Monday reviewed health checks and medication for COVID-19 patients being treated at home in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Dam asked the military medical force to coordinate with local medical staff to regularly visit patients, especially those who have no young people in the family.

Earlier Mr. Dam attended the inauguration of the 300-bed Phuoc Loc field hospital set up by the Ministry of Public Security to treat COVID-19 patients in Ho Chi Minh City. 100 of the 300 beds are equipped for emergency resuscitation.

The same day, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son visited local mobile medical teams who are in charge of monitoring of COVID patients at home.

Mr. Son instructed them to give local patients the hotline numbers of the medical stations, welfare centers, medical teams, and other forces who are monitoring and taking care of them. He stressed the importance of giving COVID-19 patients steady advice, guidance, and encouragement.
