RoK low-cost carrier to open air route to Da Nang

(VOVWORLD) - South Korea’s low cost carrier Air Seoul announced on Monday that it will launch a new route to the central Vietnamese city of Da Nang as an effort to expand its services in the Asia-Pacific region.

The carrier’s spokesperson revealed that the debut flight will take off on May 18, using A321 aircraft. Air Seoul is currently offering services on routes to 16 cities in five countries and territories, namely Japan, Cambodia, Malaysia, China’s Hong Kong and the US territory of Guam. There are around 160,000 Vietnamese people living in the RoK, with about 150,000 Koreans in Vietnam. South Korea ranks second in terms of the number of tourists to the country. Last year, Vietnam welcomed more than 2 million Korean visitors, a surge of 56.4 percent year-on-year.
