(VOVWORLD) - Russia and Ukraine will resume their peace talks online on Friday, a senior Ukrainian official said Wednesday after the latest round of negotiations ended in Turkey.

Ukrainian negotiator David Arakhamia said in an online post that Ukraine had proposed that the countries' presidents should meet, but Russia responded by saying that more work needed to be done first on a draft treaty.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the negotiations so far are only words, without anything concrete.
SputnikNews on Wednesday quoted Russia’s chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky as saying that negotiations with Ukraine will continue but that Russia is firm in its stance on Donbass and Crimea.
