During the talks with his North Korean counterpart No Kwang Chol Pyongyang, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov emphasized that defense relations between Russia and North Korea are developing positively and expanding in all areas, including military cooperation.

The Russian Defense Minister says that Russia wishes to cooperate "effectively and closely" with Pyongyang, and believes that the discussions will further strengthen the Russia-North Korea strategic partnership in the defense industry.

North Korean Defense Minister No Kwang Chol affirmed that friendship and cooperation between the military of the two countries are top priorities and emphasized the need for exchanges between their defense ministries.
