Russia stays firm on protecting national interests

(VOVWORLD) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said on Wednesday that Russia will do everything possible to neutralize threats to its security. He also called on Ukraine to commit to the full implementation of the Minsk agreements to de-escalate tensions.

Grushko told reporters following the Russia-NATO Council meeting in Brussels that they discussed measures to defuse dangerous situations.

Grushko also said the authorities in Kiev must fully and unconditionally implement the Minsk agreements. If the agreements are respected, there will be no threats to Ukraine’s security and territorial integrity.
